Look for Less: The BigMod Sputnik lamp

If you need to bring some light to your adobe, this chandelier would do that and more. They say that its inspired by the 1950’s sputnik lamp and that is fine. What is even better is that they have managed to make it really cool with the (optional) half chrome bulbs. It just doesn’t look the same with normal bulb so recommend you buy it as shown.

Oslo wood floor lamp

Not everything we have on this blog is available easily or is available in the U.S. Sometimes, to get the cool you have to make an effort. Case in point; the Oslo wood lamp available in Europe much more readily than here. Designed by Northern Lighting, the shade is said to be inspired by the light filtering through a Scandinavian forest. The base is metal and the shade is mounted on a tripod. It truly is stunning.
