One retro cooler deserves another. This cool Flying A picnic cooler, in all its steel and chrome glory, is perfect for a picnic in Central Park. We love it.

This is one unusual personal light. From the designer Yves Behar, it doesn’t only look uber cool but also lets you modify such functions as the light intensity and color. It uses LEDs as the light source which ensures that you won’t turn to toast by the heat. The lower blade can rotate and pivot while the upper blade can also fold to adjust the lighting. I am amazed by the sheer number of things this beauty does; check out the web site for all the details.

We like pots, especially tea pots, around here. Making tea (or coffee) brings with it certain anticipation. How will it turn out? When will it be ready? These are small joyous rituals of the daily life. A cool teapot (of a coffee pot) makes the occasion just that much more interesting. We love this whimsical looking tea pot with its angled neck and the handle. Made of bone china, this pot will sure make your tea ceremony special.

I have been thinking a lot about olive oil lately and was fortunate to really discover the amazing qualities of this wonderful oil in a recent trip to Spain. My pet peeve, though, is the scarcity of good (or cool) pourers. So I was really excited to find these beautiful pourers from Ichendorf. The are made in Italy and the hollow floating effect not only looks good but also makes the oil the centerpiece of the presentation.
