In these days of electronic gadgetry and like, one does not really need a calendar to mark the date. So, any prospective calendar must stand on other merits and this one does, just as it has been doing for a so many years. Designed in 1973, it is still (perhaps even more) iconic and a darn good buy at that, thanks to a tanking pound.

You know we like watches, and we had put a Nooka before on this blog. Although not a new model, we continue to be charmed by the whimsical design, the vertical bars that read for hours and minutes and the geekiness of the rubber construction.

Granted, its cold up here in the northern USA, but how can you resist such a good looking desk fan? It tilts and blows air (what else?). Worried about them fingers? Don’t be. The blades are made of rubber.

My first digital camera was a Sony. A Sony Cyber-shot actually that had, oh I don’t know, 4 pixels of resolution at that prehistoric time. Needless to say, things have moved along somewhat since then. This green beauty sports “10.1-megapixel, 3.0″ touch screen, 4X optical zoom, Face Detection, Smile Shutterâ„¢ mode, new Anti-blink function”, according to Sony. So, just about anything a camera this size dreams about and then some.

Okay, I guess Dell and dull are no longer synonyms; we are surprised to see that they have finally hired a decent designer (or two) and are finally putting their heart in the products. This Studio laptop series certainly takes things in the right direction. Power and looks always makes for a killer combo.

We maintain that where gadgets are concerned, design has not yet caught up with functionality. But its changing. Here is another case in point; the brilliant NV24HD camera from Samsung. Boasting a 10.2 MP sensor and the ability to record videos in high definition in a great looking, clean package. Obviously, if we were to go over the specs, we would just be repeating what can be found here. Looks like Samsung has a winner in both the functionality and looks department.

Color printing is complicated and really, it is one of the few areas where functionality will probably beat looks for many people. Too bad that the best color printers are still in design infancy when it comes to looks. Monochrome laser printing is an entirely different matter; it has been around for a while and has received the “design” treatment. A great example being the Samsung ML-1630 printer. We have not idea how they pulled it off but man, its rockin’ solid in the looks department.

Here is one nice looking portable grill which enables you to go out and grill in style. Portable and easy to carry, we especially like it, being the grill-heads that we are.

Every computer maker had tried to go stylish from Sony to Gateway. Dell is no stranger to these waters. These are small form-factor eco-friendly PCs. Check out the site for more specs. Even though we are not very enamored of Dell when it comes to style, we do like these little boxes for their simple and pleasing design.
Thanks to and more at Endgadget.
